Paramaribo is one of the deltacities in the world. To protect Paramaribo against sea-level rise, we came up with tree solutions. The first is building a dike, with a sluice for the transport by water. The second is a dike around the coast and the third is a dikering around Paramaribo. Together, this solution will protect Paramaribo against sea-level rise.

One of our great projects is research into moving Schiphol Airport to the sea. The idea here is that Schiphol would like to expand, the only way in which this can be done is to use a new open plot of land. however, due to the densely populated landscape of the Netherlands, this was not an option on land. An island at sea has been devised by working together with various engineers. Together we build the future in engineering.

Delta engineering worked on a plan of a windfarm on sea. We did the engineering of this windfarm. The windfarm is placed in the German part of the North Sea. Delta engineering did the research on the location of the farm, the type of windmill and the type of foundation. Delta engineering did also the engineering of the logistic plan and the choice of alternating or direct current.

In Rotterdam there is a floating farm. We got asked to make a design for the fixation of a flower turbine to the floaters that were available. we came up with a fixation for one turbine that was expandable for multiple windturbines. We also made a design for the optimal setup for a floating windfarm with these turbines to fully supply the farm with energy.
